Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United Kingdom
hi my father has just died - he has a will which was written in 1995 leaving his whole estate to my sister and myself. he re married in 2005 and does not appear to have altered his will to reflect this situation. his wife is going to see a solicitor. will she benefit from the whole of his estate or does the will still stand

Dear Sir / Madam,
If your father's re-marriage is legally recognized in the UK, his second wife may succeed with getting only a 1/3rd portion of your father's estate, with the major 2/3rd being awarded to you and your sister. In no way whatsoever will your step mother benefit from the whole estate.
