Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in United Kingdom

Intestate Property

The Owner of a property has died with no living relatives. If there is no will, who will own the property? A person did have power of attorney when the owner was alive but has not done any more following the death.

Re: Intestate Property

The general power of attorney will lapse on the death and is of no further use.If this person really had no living relatives and there are no creditors then the sad possibility that exists is of the property reverting to ownership by the Crown.

Further investigation and possible action is called for.
