rights to mothers estate but no will

what are my rights to my mothers estate she got no will and aint divorced but was living apart for two years from my father he got everything when she died i had a solicitor act for me but he did nothin just took £300 from me for 35 mins work now my father got the house money the lot and pay funeral,bills,etc surley i am entitled to some thing i am the only child they were gettin a divorce but my father kept stalling until she died please help as this is very destressing for me and my children

As your late mother died without leaving a will, entitlements to her estate will be in accordance with the intestacy rules. You can read about these on our website and will see that depending upon the size of her estate, you could well have an entitlement.
