Should a person remarry and die without making a new will is an old will still valid.

Hi. I am afraid that it is indeed the case that marriage revokes and makes invalid a will made before that marriage. The only exception is when the will is made in contemplation of the marriage and states that that is the case.

Although there may well be an intestacy here, in many such cases a person is entitled to make a claim on the estate under the Inheritance (provision for family and dependants)Act.
