If a will has been written by someone (estate totalling approx �500,000) who has 5 children - 3 boys and 2 girls and the girls were excluded for no apparent reasons can this be succcessfully contested?

it is possible to apply to the courts under the Inheritance (provision for family and dependants) Act when a will does not make reasonable financial provision for certain classes of people which will include the children of a deceased.

I who would need considerably more information before being able to advise whether a claim by these daughters would succeed. This is however a sizeable estate and if no reason was given to exclude these daughters and if they were being maintained by the deceased at the time of his death it is quite possible that they may be able to obtain some claim on the estate.
