Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in United States

On 9/8/10 a judge granted me and my mom a restraining order against my next door neighbor's sister who has been continually harassing us since we moved in 6/6/10. But the judge also granted my neighbor one against us as well. She lied and so did her sister. The judge told everyone we can appeal his decision. We want to but how long do we have to file it and where can we get advice on it?
