Legal Question in Bankruptcy in United States
I am considering filing bankruptcy but may include formerly owed (still outstanding) college tuition ( college states $15,000 because of accrued interest) from 1988 as my transcripts will be eternally held. Can I do this or is it simply better to make a payment agreement so that I can finally enter graduate school?

Once you file bankruptcy and discharge the debt, the college can no longer withhold your transcript.

Once you discharge the debt (assuming it is actually tuition and not a loan) it would be unlawful for the school to withhold a transcript. Discuss this with your bankruptcy lawyer.
