Legal Question in Personal Injury in United States
If I was injured OTJ do I have to file a workers comp claim? What if I just received first aid treatment at the worksite? Can I pay for it out of pocket if I see a doctor? Can the employer reimburse me for those expenses? Would any of the above jepordize a later claim?

It is always smart to file a claim.
No, none of which you've mentioned should jeopardize your later claim (in my opinion).
To protect yourself you need to report your work-related injuries to your employer otherwise you will give your employer a defense for not reporting any injuries. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
Do you have to file a claim? No.
Can you pay the doctor out-of-pocket? Sure. Can the employer reimburse you? Yes. But if you fail to follow company rules for WC claims, your employer may not have to reimburse you and, yes, your right to make a later claim may be jeopardized.
The answers to your questions may vary from one state to another. You didn't tell us what state you're in. You shouldn't rely too heavily on any of the answers you get, unless they happen to come from lawyers in your state.
