Re: Executor of a will
The "PROBATES, TRUSTS, WILLS, AND ESTATES" category of this website would be a better choice to post a question about wills (for future reference).
An executor is a man (or, in the case of a woman the term is executrix or, alternatively, executress), who has been appointed to act to ensure that the will's provisions are carried out in accordance with the intentions of the testator (i.e, the deceased whose will we are discussing).
In the words of applicable case law, the executor (or, executrix or executress in the case of a woman), is the "person who either expressly or by implication is appointed by a testator to carry out the testator's directions concerning" the dispositions made in the testator's will. 285 N.E.2d 548, 550 is the case cited.
