How can I get out from under a LIEN

I had a contractor re-do my concrete driveway. According to out agreement, I paid the contractor $4000 the day he ordered the cement. Then paid the rest $6000 after completion. Two months later, The cement company said he paid for the cement with a Maxed out credit card. The cement company filed a lien on my property.

You will need to sue the contractor to indemnify your from the concrete company. If you cannot find the contractor, you will have to pay to remove the lien.

if you contacted with a licensed contractor, had a written contract, paid according to the contract and deadbeat did knot pay his subs or material providers you can get lien removed. You should look at Utah Code sec. 38-11-204(4).
