Legal Question in Appeals and Writs in Utah
Appeal because judge's ruling unfair
I have just received a letter and memorandum decision from my attorney and the court. The judge admits predudice against me. I have not actually been in court, my attorney must not have submitted any of my evidence because the court said there
was no evidence ever shown that I ''thought'' was being submitted. This--name removed--is fairly simple, my sister sued me as trustee of our mothers trust for not signing over some property she was buying from my mother personally. My sister breached the real estate contract that she had with my mother, therefore my mother refused to sign the property over to her untill she paid the taxes due her (that mother had paid) and that my sister refused to pay. My mom passed away before this could be settled and I wasleft trying to uphold her wishes. As I said in the beginning of this letter, the judge ruled against me and told me to even pay my sisters attorneys fees. I cannot accept this ruling with a clear conscience since everything in the trust is ment to care for our disabled brother. What should I do?

Re: Appeal because judge's ruling unfair
Your attorney should have been sending you copies of what he sent to the court. You should have also received copies of all motions and court hearings. You have a right to appeal within 30 days of the court's ruling (Note; I did not get your email until today) - which is now too late. You also can sue your attorney for malpractice.
