a supposed judgement on a rental

I rented a unfinished appartment from a Rodger Swensen for almost 7 years .I completly remodeled it as it was unlivable. tword the end he deliberitly loosened a pipe above my bathroom. causing my roof to cave in .Yes i asked over and over again for him to fix it .He said when i catch last months rent up he might. Mean while it developed a mold of very dangerous statue. Every one in the home came down with a deathly namonia.Some of us was hospitalized while i was sick he gave me a three day notice to move there was a few other problems.I moved reported it to the health deparatment in fear someone might die from it.Know I was receintly informed he sued me and a judgement was filled .How could they do this i never was searved and I knew nothing tell yesterday.What do I do?

You should probably consult with Utah Legal Services, who provide low or no cost legal services depending on your financial situation. A judgment is not valid unless you or a member of your household was properly served. If he caused a condition which rendered the place unsafe, he may not be entitled to recovery.
