Bounced checks in a closed account
I wrote some checks for a post dated check loan that were in an account that has been closed. I got mixed up an came in to pay a day late, now they have deposited the chicks into my closed account of 5 months and i don't know what to do, can you help me?

Contact the post dated loan company and tell them what happened. Offer to pay their cost on the returned checks (should be about $3-4 per check); also pay the additional interest on the loan. If you do nothing they can sue you for rather high fees, and in some instances they may be able to refer the checks to the county attorney for prosecution. The sooner you act the less you will have to pay.
