Legal Question in Banking Law in Utah
Car title conveyance after loan payoff
Is there a legal time limit that a lender has to convey the title of a car that they loaned money on after the loan has been paid off? This car loan was paid off almost thirty days ago and I have not received the title and the bank is not responding to my requests. Also, what recourse do I have?

Re: Car title conveyance after loan payoff
The bank has a reasonable amount of time - and 30 days is more than enough. Go see an officer of the bank where you borrowed the money. Tell him/her you will wait for him/her to get the title. All they have to do is pull it from their file, sign it and give it back.
