Legal Question in Banking Law in Utah

Reclaim your car after repossession

My car was taken by the bank that I borrowed for late payment. After paid the full amount, I called the repossesion people to get my car back. They keeping sending me around with different phone number and some promised that they will call back, but none of them call me back. I think they might already sell/auction my car that why they couldn't give it back to me. This has been happened over a week and my car still unknown. I have talked to one the the bank service rep. She keep calling the head quarter and could not resolve the problem. What legal action(s) that I can take to against the bank? If they did sell my car, do I have the right not to take it back it they somehow get it back for me?

Re: Reclaim your car after repossession

Go to the bank and insist that they return the car. Talk to an officer of the bank and make sure you have a copy of your payment to prove when you made payment. If the bank/repossessor does not return your car they can be sued for damages. You are entitled to get your car back on the day you made payment, if it was a normal business day. Call me if you don't get it back.
