Re: saft deposit box
A bill collector cannot put a lien on a safety deposit box. If there is a judgment against you, then the attorney can garnish your account, including invading a safety deposit box - but only after a judgment and after you are given notice of the garnishment, with a chance to have a hearing before a judge to see whether or not the contents can be taken.
