Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah
Bankruptcy collection
I am a creditor in a recently filed bankruptcy case. I received a letter noting that the debtor had filed for bankruptcy under chapter 7 (liquidation of assets).
I have no understanding of bankruptcy procedures and would like to know the actions I need to take to increase my chances of collecting what is owed to me.

Re: Bankruptcy collection
File you notice of claim - instructions should be on the notice of bankruptcy you received. The court has a form you fill out and return. If you believe that the debtor committed fraud, you can apply to be excluded from his bankruotcy and your claim may not be discharged if the court finds fraud on the debtor's part.
