Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah

Bankruptcy

My husband lost his business a couple of years ago and we have quite a bit of business debt along with personal debt. We filed a Chapter 13 a year ago but could not make the payments and therefore it got dismissed. My paychecks have been getting garnished last year and this year around 1200.00 a month.

My question is, would it be better to file again or try to resolve the matters with the creditors on our own? We were not at all happy with the legal team we had.

How do we get all of the info the lawyer has in our file to either go to another lawyer or settle on our own.

Any advice/help you could give me would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Bankruptcy

Ask your former lawyer for your file. You are entitled to it whether you have paid in full or not. Then find a new attorney to handle the b/r and refile.
