Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah
chp 13 question
I am currently in a chp 13 I have been served papers for small claims court Can I be sued while in chp 13?Can I sell my home and repurchase said home for lower rate? Ineed advice to help my situation so i dont continue getting in trouble.

You should talk to your attorney. You cannot be sued for debts while in bankruptcy, before you are discharged. All actions need to occur in the bankruptcy court. Call the creditor and the court and give both your bankruptcy case number and date of filing. You might be able to negotiate a lower interest rate on your home through your chapter 13 plan. Again, talk to your attorney about these issues.
