Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah
Creditor calling after bankrupcy
I filed for a chapter 7 bankrupcy in 2000 it was discharged in Sept of of that year. One of the credit card companies (a store) that was listed in the bankrupcy now has a collection agency calling me twice a month demanding payment. I notified them the first time that they were listed on the bankrupcy but the still keep calling. Is there any thing I can do to get them to stop?

Re: Creditor calling after bankrupcy
Give them your bankruptcy case number and demand that they stop. If they continue they are in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and they can be sued for damages.
