Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah
Discharge of Joint Debtors
I have recently been working with a consumer credit organization to assist in paying down my debts. Days ago, I received a letter in the mail from the United States Bankruptcy court stating that I am entitled to a discharge under section 727 of title 11. Can you help me to understand what this means? Does that mean I would have to file bankruptcy? Thank you for your time.

The US Bankruptcy Court does not send out such messages. IT is some sort of scam. Call the Utah Attorney General consumer protection office in SLC.
