Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah

Can you file Bankruptcy on judgements already passed?

My husband has a judgement against him in the state of Utah for child support and we both have a judgement against us from a former landlord in which we never received any notification. Both judgements are in the state of Utah. The amounts are totaling nearly $90,000.

Please let us know if this can even been done on the types of debts. We currently reside in the state of California. Thank you

The child support judgments are not dischargeable in bankruptcy. The landlord judgments probably are. If you would like a free consultation, please visit my web page and give me a call. I will be happy to assist.

Not on child support; yes on landlord's judgment. Of course I am sure you and your husband feel responsible to pay his child support for his children anyway.
