Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah

My husband is filing for Chp 7 bankruptcy and the appropriate paperwork and fees have been paid to his attorney. However, this week his wages were garnished by one of his creditors listed on the bankruptcy. He asked his attorney why this happened and if she had filed his paperwork. Her answer, "No, I've been busy and on vacation so I havent filed the paperwork, I'll do it this week." What are his rights? I was under the assumption once he started this process his attorney would deal with the creditors so that these issues wouldnt continue...Isnt that the point of bankrupcy? Please help! Thanks!

She should be able to get his garnished money back. If not get another attorney.
