Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah
Marriage and bankruptcy
If my husband declares bankruptcy, what will that do to my credit? The only thing we have in both of our names is our checking account and he co-signed on the car loan and is on that title. Will I still keep my good credit and the car if he declairs bankruptcy?

Re: Marriage and bankruptcy
Your credit should not be affected, except for future joint purchases. You will have to pay for any current joint debts. You should keep as little money as possible in the checking account.
