Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Utah
statute of limitation
I recently recieved a collection notice from a bill over 5 years old, that had never shown up on my credit report..I filed ch 13 twice due to medical, and it was dismissed. When my mom died, I used the money to pay off all bills I could find, recieved and on my credit..now, 2 yrs later and no money this shows up..is there a legal way to deal with this, but not bankruptcy? Or are we stuck

Re: statute of limitation
In general you owe a debt until it is paid or discharged in bankruptcy. The creditor has 8 years to sue on the debt.
