Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
Access to Corporate Account
I am the president and director of an S corporation. My ex-partner was/is the secretary and a director of the same corporation.
He opened, without my knowledge, a checking account in the name of the corporation. He is the only signer on the account.
How would I go about accessing the funds in the account? I am not a signer, but the fiunds belong to the corporation. My partner no longer communicates with me -- and I assume he is planning on keeping the corporate funds.
Please help!!

Re: Access to Corporate Account
Contact the bank and see if they will allow you access based on corporate documents which show you as a principle of the corporation. If they will not, you will probably need to sue your secretary for an accounting - unless he agrees to cooperate.
