Legal Question in Business Law in Utah

I booked a trip through Travelocity recently but had to cancel due to unexpected illness. Their trip insurance didn't cover the illness, and now they're trying to charge me 1/4 of the total cost of my trip just for canceling. I spoke with their customer service group about what the specific charges were for that were included in that 1/4, and they said part of it was the non-refundable plane tickets, part of it was the non-refundable insurance plan fee, and part of it was for taxes on the entire trip. Is it legal for them to not refund my taxes? I can understand them keeping the tax from my plane tickets, but not tax from the trip as a whole. Can you guys give me some advice on fighting this outrageous fee?

I would need to see their cancellation policy in order to give you an answer. Basically, they can charge whatever their cancellation policy says they will charge. By completing a purchase of their service, you also agree to abide by their cancellation policies and pay the accompanying fees.
