Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
if im eating at a restraunt and there is no signs that they dont accept checks and that is my only form of payment and they took it but stopped me at the door as i was leaving... and they call the police can i get arrested or what do i do? what can they do to me?

Nothing. If you offered to pay by check and there is no notice, a check is still a legal means of paying - unless the restaurant knew you did not have funds in the bank. In that case you are guilty of theft or fraud.
