john, of black origin, and 50 other members of his factory disagree with promotion policies and the methods utilized by management. At an official company meeting all petitioners' sign and present a formal petition to MHR department and the president of the company. all 50 employees are interviewed after the petition is received; 35 white caucasian are give a note in their personnel files, but the remaining 15, comprising of black origin and hispanic are fired for insubordination. the 15 released employees immediately reapply for their former employment positions, and are qualified for the positions, had prior fine yearly employment reviews. application are ignored, and new personal is hired for each of the 15 members, all white in origin.

what procedures must the 15 follow with the EEOC, and what law may they argue in their upcoming law suit? what remedies do they have against the company? what private claims r torts might apply? please answer this problem briefly. thank you!

You and your 15 associates have 180 days to file complaints with the Utah Labor and Antidiscrimination Division. Thereafter you can either wait for them to investigate - which is very slow - or ask for a "right to sue" letter, which allows you to file suit. You are welcome to call for a free consultation.
