Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
Forefeiture of ownership
I think I let a business partner cheated me out of my 1/2 of our company.
Back in March an S-Corp in his name was formed has a holding company of LLC we were 50/50 owners in. It was my understanding that the LLC was not dissolved, but the S-Corp would act as kind of a parent ownership. I did not explicitly sign over my 1/2, but I was informed today that the LLC was dissolved and I have nothing. What if any legal recourse do I have, and what should I do next - (beyond finding an attorney.
