Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
Government imposed fee cap
My local city government is in the process of passing an ordinance that would place a cap on the fees that I charge for my booting services on private property. Can they do that? They couldn't tell a grocery store how much to charge for milk could they....why then are they able to cap my fees? If they can't do that, with whom do I contest this?

Re: Government imposed fee cap
Contact the city attorney and voice your concerns. Also protest to the City. If the ordinance is passed, you can contest any citation or notice of violation they issue to you in court.
