Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
Internet terms of use
I'm customizing a Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy for my business website from free samples found on the internet. Is this some how less legal than paying a lawyer to create them for me or purchasing ready made templates?

No, it is not "less legal" by doing your own. The main concern is that attorneys who are familiar with that area of law may be aware of something that you are not aware of and that knowledge could find its way into your text to further protect you. You are bound by what is in your text no matter who writes it.
Re: Internet terms of use
Your terms and conditions should be customized to your business and not just a generic copy of some one else's terms. Whatever terms you publish will be the terms by which you have to live in the event of a dispute. Unless you are familiar with the legal ramifications of the terms which you plan on using, you should consider having an attorney review them for you.
