Legal Question in Business Law in Utah

Legalities of starting a business for Disabled children

I have recently returned from working in a children's orphanage in Romania for handicap children for the last five months. I realized there is so much still to be done for these amazing children within the United States. Now I do not know anything about business law. Are there special boundaries or limits of starting a business, let's say an educational academy for children with different disabilities? Other than getting a normal business license, do you have to get a special educational one, a special one for working with disabled individuals, from the state, etc.? I know this may seem like a huge undertaking, however, the legal aspect seems more daunting to me than does the rest. Any help would be grately appreciated!

Re: Legalities of starting a business for Disabled children

You probably should consider creating or associating with a charitable organization which is dedicated to helping such children. You may want to create what is called a 402(c)3 not-for-profit corporation through which you could conduct charitable work. You may want to seek the services of other people to help you through a non profit.
