What kind of entity is the holding company? You want to document ("Resolutions" included in the Minutes of Meeting of Owners) the transfer of the LLC member interest from yourself personally to the holding company, and then on the tax returns for each entity there are places to indicate who the owner is. So the LLC would report on its tax return, whichever is appropriate depending on how you chose to have the LLC taxed, that the holding company owns the LLC member interests, and on the holding company tax return you tell the IRS and state tax authorities that the holding company owns as its assets the LLC member interests.
Good luck.
