Legal Question in Business Law in Utah

S-Corporation Checking Accounts

I started an S-Corp from my Sole Proprieter business. After doing so, my wife opened accounts but did not list me on them. I have recently acquired our money and quickbooks backup files since she refused to give me the financial information I asked for. She has paid all of her bills and alot of money went to her parents directly from the corp. checking account and she also had opened an account under the same name as my sole proprieter name and deposited company money into those accounts. The totals are quite alot. How can I get the bank records, to complete the accounting? (I am the president, and also the original Incorporater as well as a share holder and director)

Re: S-Corporation Checking Accounts

1. Take corporate records which show you as the responsible party to the bank and see if they will release the info.

2. Sue your wife and send a subpoena to the bank for the records.
