Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
I am starting a foundation to aid stroke survivors. I need to know what I have to do legally to get started. I plan to accept donations, purchase products for them and donate services and products to the survivors... can you help me?

You will need to form any entity (like a nonprofit corporation). You will then need to file an application with IRS (Form 1023) to become a tax exempt organization. These entities have very complicated (but manageable) tax laws associated with them. You should make sure the organization is set up properly and that you are following appropriate procedures.
