Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
I am the stepfather of five children. Their father recently passed away. He owned a construction business, there is no will. Two of the children are 18 or over can they inherit the business. And continue to operate it? He was not remarried All his kids were all legally adopted, if that makes a difference. Thank you

I need a lot more information. Generally, in this situation, all of the children, natural or adopted, inherit equally. Minor children will need to have a conservator appointed by the court. Further information is needed to go beyond this. What kind of business entity is involved? Do any of the kids know anything about the business? Do they have the ability to keep the business going? What other assets does the father have? What assets does the business own? Without this additional information, I cannot completely answer this questions.
