Legal Question in Business Law in Utah
I will apologize up front, I'm not exactly sure what corner of the law this would fall under. I would like to know if it is possible to sue my ex husband's employer (who owns the business) for lying to the D.A. for 6 years about my ex's employment status which resulted in me not being able to collect over $100,000 in child support and legal fees. There is extensive documentation including a statement by my ex submitted to the court that he has worked there for 6 years plus a w2, and years of case log with the D.A. documenting the employer continuously denying his employment when asked to deduct child support.

You should be able to sue for fraud, and he could also be subject to criminal charges. This, of course, assumes that the statute of limitations has not passed. It would be worth talking to an attorney about it.
