Legal Question in Business Law in Utah

winnings

Hello I got a letter from the jackpot link international INC and it stated that i won the large lump sum of 85,000.00 well also with the letter was a check for 950.00 for the insurance processing fee and the letter also said for me to call janet smith or jack johnson well i did that and the guy mr. johnson told me that i needed to have a bank account to deposit the check and he told me to get the account and call him back he asked when i can get the account and i told him within the next few weeks and he said OK. Well 1 week later i called him with the bank info and he told me that the check he sent me for the insurance fee was cancaled and that i don't get the winnings sum of 950.00 because i was suppose to have the account the next day. But when i talked to him the first time when he told me to get the account he never said anything about a deadline and there is nothing in the letter about a deadline either. And know everytime i call him he hangs up on me. I was just wondering if this is legal or not and i was also wondering if there is anyway to get help getting my winnings from them i have there address and phone number if you need them. Just email me and let me know thanks.

email address is: [email protected]

Thanks

Re: winnings

You being scammed. Do not answer nor respond to such emails. If you did not enter the "jackpot," you cannot win. You are lucky you did not have a bank account, because if you did, they would have cleaned it out. Remember your mother told you that there is no free lunch? She was right.
