Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Utah
AP&P probationee rights
If i am on probation, and currently in violation ( not checkin in by one day) can my probation officer remove the deadbolt from my front door and enter my home, without my permission, and without a warrant for my arrest? With a warrant? They were at my house on a routine visit to see why i hadn't checked in the previous day. thank you

Re: AP&P probationee rights
Your failure to check in is a violation of your probation. They are authorized to arrest you, and can enter without a warrant if they have probably cause to believe you are in the residence. Any time you violate probation you are giving the officers the right to take you back to jail.
