consumer rights in the judicial court

I was in a case in 5/2005 i was given custody of my children with some conditions that i return completed at that time i moved and the last thing i heard was that therer would be one more court date where both parties did not have to be present then i found out later that without any notice there was a family battle still going on about the custody of my children my counsel hadwithdrew and i was not present for these decisions on my childrens behalf is there not some kind of law for stopping this kind of action i feel stripped of my rights as a u.s citizen

Your attorney should have notified you that he withdrew; the other attorney should have sent you notice to get another attorney or enter your own appearance. You can apply to have the judgment set aside based on the failure to notify you.
