Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Utah
I am 17 and am dating a 19 year old in Utah. He won't touch me because he says it is illegal. But I looked up some Utah laws and it's says If the minor is over 16 and the other person isn't ten years or more older than the minor then everything is fine. Who is right? Can i legally have sex with my boyfriend?

You need to get counseling. You boyfriend is being wise. Just wait

I'm not a Utah lawyer, but the relevant statutes seem to say that the two-year age difference would merely make your boyfriend guilty of a misdemeanor rather than a felony. Being convicted of a misdemeanor sex offense is a far cry from "everything is fine".
