Legal Question in Constitutional Law in Utah
Liability Disclaimers
Could a gas station be liable for the damage to a car in its car wash? They sold a car wash voucher at the pump for a wash with no disclaimer, they do not prevent any car from entering and the only sign they have to say you shouldn't bring a particular car in to the automated car wash is at the entrance of the car wash, and it lists a dozen cars in an ambiguous fashion (i.e. no ''jeeps,'' which could be misconstrued as Wranglers vs. Laredos). Once you are able to read the sign, there are five cars behind you blocking you in, only to make you go through no matter what.

Re: Liability Disclaimers
The car wash does not force anyone to go through. You could have refused even if it created an inconvenience for other patrons. If the notice was inadequate they may be liable for failure to warn, and may have to pay for damage to your car.
