Legal Question in Construction Law in Utah
lien
I am a general contractor building a house. My framers finished 60% of the house and are threatening a lien, unless I pay them 100% of their contacted amount. If they file a lien, what is my recourse?

Re: lien
You have to pay the lien and clear the title for the owner. However, you can sue the framers for filing a wrongful lien, which awards you treble damages and your attorney fees.
