Legal Question in Construction Law in Utah
overdue contracter
our contractor has promised to have our house ready to sell for the past 9 months. He now wants 2,000 more, and promises to have it finished by 1/1/07. It costs us 1,200 dollars each month that he's late. Can I have him sign a legal document? Dave

Re: overdue contracter
Is sounds like you need to sue him. Without knowing what documents you signed, there is no way to tell what your rights are - but one thing is sure, he cannot charge you more unless you have made changes to the original deal. Call for a free consultation.
