Legal Question in Construction Law in Utah
statutes of limitations
I have a garage that was built 13 years ago. But now no one can find a permit that I purchase when building the garage. They are telling me to tear it down. I was wondering if there is a statutes of limitations on this. Magna Utah 84044

Re: statutes of limitations
I assume it is a building authority that is demanding the removal of the garage. Stand your ground and assert that you purchased a permit - you may want to go back to your bank and see if you can get a copy of the check. As a last resort when you are given a final notice to remove the garage you can appeal the decision to the appeals authority.
