Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah
Auto buying
I traded in my beetle saturday night for a passat. I signed all the paperwork. The car I bought was a demo car and one of the sales people was driving it. So I went home with a loaner used Toyota. Now that I have had time to read the paperwork, can I change my mind and cancel the deal. Is it true there is a 72 hour buyers remores law? Today is Monday can I go into the car dealership and tell them I want to cancel the deal?

Re: Auto buying
You can generally only cancel the deal if (1) the dealer made errors on the contract; (2) there is evidence of fraud on the part of the dealer; or (3) the dealer agrees to allow you to change your mind. There is no 72 hour remorse period.
