Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah
Auto Lease
I would like to cancel an auto lease agreement that I entered into about 16 hours ago. Is there a window of time where this is possible?

Re: Auto Lease
Your right to cancel depends on whether the dealer properly filled out all of the documents and disclosures, or whether the dealer committed any kind of fraud or material misrepresentation. Generally, once a lease is entered into there is little chance of canceling it without the cooperation of the dealer. The simplest thing would be to return to the dealer and talk to a manager or owner to discuss your options. The only other option is to have an attorney review the papers to ascertain whether some error has occurred.
