car was damaged my cars engine

following posted instructions at a car wash, i washed the engine of my car. due to that washing (as confirmed by a mechanic), my car recieved water damage to the engine that kept it from running properly. do i have legal grounds to take him to court, and if so, on what bases? thank you.

It depends on the instructions and disclaimer notices, if any, at the car wash, and on how you washed the engine. You may have some liability of your own for some negligence in how you washed the engine. The carwash will argue that you assume the risk of damage. The final decision will be up to a judge. The result will hinge on the actual facts you and the car wash prove at a trial.
