Legal Question in Consumer Law in Utah

New car deal

I recently purchased a new car from a local dealer. The car had aftermarket wheels and tires installed by the dealer to demostrate to customers what was possible with customization. When I bought the car I did not want to pay for the wheels and tires, and was informed they could be switched. At the end of the purchase process the saleman informed me the wheels and tires were mine because the dealer did not want to switch them. After I had the car for a few days the dealer called me to get the wheels and tires back. I have not been able to find any information either way in our sales agreement. Do I need to give the wheels and tires back?

Re: New car deal

If there was nothing in your sales agreement to the contrary, and if you bought the car "as is" you are probably entitled to the wheels. This opinion is based on the facts you provided, and does not create an attorney-client relationship.
